This year, our kindergarten has co-organized a parent education programme with the “Little Green Feet Parent-Child Book Club”. Through a series of lectures and workshops, the founder of the programme, Mr. Ko Chia-Lei, shared good picture books that promote parent-child relationship and shared with parents the experience and benefits of parent-child co-reading. In the process, parents can better understand and practice the skills of parent-child story book reading. Based on the theme-based Chinese story books, parents can learn how to accompany their children to read and cultivate their learning motivation. In order for parents to practice storytelling skills, our kindergarten also held a Mothers’ Storytelling Reading Activity, inviting parents to be volunteers to tell stories for the children in each class, which was very beneficial to parents.
